MSHP Sponsored Residency Program Design and Conduct (RPDC) Workshop
The RPDC workshop will review the ASHP PGY1 and PGY2 accreditation standards for the design and conduct of residency programs. The workshop will include information, examples and scenarios, resources, idea-sharing and time for questions. Learn about purpose statements, competency areas, educational goals and objectives as well as the requirements for residency program structure, orientation, learning experiences, preceptor qualifications and roles, evaluation, resident development plans and continuous residency program improvement.
No continuing education credit will be provided. ASHP will supply a certificate of completion to all participants.
- New and existing programs will benefit from review of the ASHP PGY1 and PGY2 standards.
- ASHP requires that preceptors at accredited residency programs continually undergo preceptor development. Many programs struggle to provide consistent, meaningful preceptor development programs. The RPDC Workshop is an avenue to provide preceptor directed education.
- The ASHP facilitator, David Warner, is a well-recognized, national expert on ASHP residency accreditation standards who has delivered countless RPDC workshops.
Space is limited to the first 60 registrants. MSHP reserves the right to cancel the workshop due to low enrollment 30 days prior to the event. Refunds will be distributed if the event is cancelled.
